It's Wednesday night and I haven't worked out since Saturday. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be saying this but I REALLY MISS MY WORKOUTS! Ugh--
So, I am certain I am not the only mom who struggles with this but it seems that every time my kids get sick, I get it TEN TIMES WORSE! I came home from a great weekend in NYC and I truly can't say whether it was something i got on the trip or if it was from my six year old who had a cold all last week but I have been completely down with a terrible cold which has brought and workouts to a screeching halt. It's frustrating because normally I would be looking for any excuse to slack but now that I have been working out regularly I don't like it when I can't keep my schedule. Ironically and maybe it's a good thing, Hulya is sick too! Hmmm, that didn't sound right- I mean, it is good that we are sick at the same time-yes, that is what I mean. Because then we are not holding the other back....does that make sense?
I know it's important to take care of myself but I FEEL like that is what i have been doing! SO WHY AM I ALWAYS GETTING SICK???? My nutrition is good, I am exercising regularly...help me out here people??
I am sick more often than many and it's very discouraging. Am I not healthy? Has my immune system taken permanent vacation? My girlfriend swears by Airborne, another by green tea...do I really need to supplement good nutrition in order to stay healthy?
Oh well, this late night venting was productive, I felt obligated to say something on here since I have been silent for a while.
I hope to get back to the gym tomorrow but I won't push it. If my head still feels heavier than my body when I wake up, I will take it easy another day and I promise to update you when I am up and running again! Any advice or tips to boost my immune system (since I can't kick the kids out) would be greatly appreciated!
